Programs & Events Committee

Help shape WCA’s signature programs, networking events, and annual Washington Contractor Awards. This committee imagines what’s possible and brings it to life. Ideal for: relationship-builders, creative thinkers, event-minded professionals. You’ll influence: event themes, formats, speakers, sponsorship opportunities. Time commitment: Monthly meetings + event support

Membership Development Committee

Help grow WCA’s community by shaping the strategies that attract, engage, and retain members. Ideal for: business developers, networkers, relationship-driven professionals. This committee leads: Member recruitment strategies, onboarding & engagement initiatives, retention touchpoints, and outreach to underrepresented sectors . Time commitment: Monthly meetings

Finance Committee

Guide WCA’s financial health, budget planning, and long-term sustainability. This group ensures WCA invests strategically in programs that deliver value to members. Ideal for: executives, CFOs, controllers, financially minded leaders. This committee leads: Annual budgeting, financial policies & oversight, sponsorship revenue strategy support, and long-term stability planning. Time commitment: Quarterly meetings

Marketing & Communications Committee

Shape the voice of WCA and help tell the story of our members and our industry. This committee enhances awareness, visibility, and engagement. Ideal for: marketers, communicators, storytellers, and content creators. This committee leads: Social media, newsletters, website content, promotional campaigns for membership, sponsorships & events, brand consistency and messaging, highlighting member achievements and industry wins. Time commitment: Monthly meetings

Strengthen jobsite safety across the region by developing best practices, sharing resources, and planning safety-focused trainings and events. Ideal for: safety directors, risk managers, field leaders, and compliance professionals. This committee leads: Safety Week programming, regional training sessions & workshops, best practice resource sharing, safety awards and recognition.

NEW IN 2026: Partnerships & Outreach Committee

Build strategic relationships with peer organizations such as ASA, MDCHCA, and other local industry groups to strengthen collaboration and amplify WCA’s impact. Ideal for: coalition builders, connectors, executives, and community-engaged professionals. This committee leads: Outreach to regional construction associations, joint programming and events, advocacy alignment (non-lobbying), and community visibility initiatives. Time commitment: Monthly or bi-monthly meetings.
