
For nearly 30 years, the Washington Contractor Awards have stood as the most prestigious, influential, and FUN! honor in the Greater Washington construction industry. This event brings together the region’s leading general contractors, specialty contractors, owners, designers, and industry partners to celebrate the projects, teams, and individuals who are shaping the future of the built environment across the DMV.
Recognized as a must-attend event for decision-makers and industry leaders, the Washington Contractor Awards spotlight the outstanding craftsmanship, innovative project delivery, breakthrough safety leadership, and community impact that define our region’s most transformative work. Winning a Washington Contractor Award is more than a milestone - it’s a mark of excellence recognized across the industry.

Project Completion Window:
Eligible projects must have been substantially completed between March 1, 2025, and September 18, 2026.
Projects completed outside of this timeframe are not eligible for consideration in the 2026 awards program.
Entry Fee: $200 per award submission (through August 31)
Late Entry Fee: $250 per award submission* (September 1–18)
*Note: A $50 late fee will be added to all submissions received on or after September 1.
Organizations may submit multiple projects across multiple award categories. To enter the same project into more than one category, complete the initial project submission and then click “Add Award” to select any additional categories. A separate $200 entry fee will apply for each category entered.
Applicants may also submit nominations for the Safety Award, which requires a separate $200 entry fee.
Nominations for individual awards, including Project Owner of the Year and Project Subcontractor of the Year, may be submitted at no additional cost with any paid project submission. These nominees are not required to be active members of WCA to be eligible for consideration.
If a project is being entered into multiple award categories, you only need to submit supporting information for the Safety Award and/or individual award nominations once.
Award applicants must be WCA Members in good standing by the submission deadline of September 18, 2026. Companies may join WCA or renew their membership at any time during the entry period and remain eligible for consideration.
Applications will be accepted from June 15, 2026, through September 18, 2026.

The Washington Contractor Awards Gala will be hosted in the fall of 2026 at Congressional Country Club.
