About the Washington Contractors Association
We’ve been building Washington, D.C. since 1929.
Founded as the Master Builders Association — and most recently as AGC of Metropolitan DC — we’re proud to continue our legacy as the Washington Contractors Association (WCA). While the name may be new, our roots run deep. Originally founded by industry icons like Clark Construction, Turner Construction, and DAVIS Construction, we’ve spent nearly a century supporting the people and projects that shape our region. Today, WCA is where contractors come to connect, lead, and build what’s next — together.
